About the Program |
Like everyone, I hate dieting. I created the BBBP as an anti-diet; I wanted a lifestyle routine that allowed me to eat normally but that would also keep my body fit and strong.
So I built the Brazilian Bikini Body Program to combine the best of Brazilian cuisine with an exercise program that can be incorporated into anyone’s lifestyle. Apply a jeitinho (the Portuguese word for "knack"), or a bit of pragmatic attitude to this regimen and you’ll sail past roadblocks or problems that may emerge. Within 30 days, you'll definitely start to see changes in your muscle tone, your skin, and your energy levels.
For 30 days, your breakfast, lunch and dinner will be composed of the very Brazilian flavors of key superfoods. A breakfast made from anti-oxidant-packed açai forms the cornerstone of your daily meals; lunches and dinners build on that by mixing and matching basic, easy-to-prepare sauces that can be dabbed in small amounts on marinated lean meats and fish for maximum flavor. Nuts and legumes and vegetables in the form of soups and salads round out a program that emphasizes easy and healthy home cooking. Desserts, in portions that offer a few small but sweet mouthfuls, offer a counterpoint to meals that can prevent you from tipping over into bad habits due to deprivation. To keep you on a virtuous track, the program makes strategic use of leftovers, so you don’t waste food. On this site, you'll find 30 days-worth of new recipes that aren't in the book. Follow the 30-Day Calendar on the site for each day's menu plan. In addition, this site also offers cooking demonstration videocasts (find them in Brazilian Cuisine: Classic Fare) I've shot that help to round out the nutrition program chapters of the book.
Fueled by such wholesome and tasty meals, you’ll be ready to take on the exercise program. In the book, I've provided 3 workouts: the Mini Workout (10 minutes), the Half-Hour Workout and the Full-Hour Workout. On this site, in the section Workout Downloads, you'll find videos and audiocasts that illustrate and augment the workout instructions found in the book. The Movement Plan area of this site also features articles that provide even more information about body-sculpting.
The site offers guides and tips on everything from how to outfit your kitchen for maximum ease-of-use to how to wear a bikini. Keep coming back to find updated content.
